Service Excellence.
Our company is centered on caring for our customers. Jobseeker and Employer Care teams are measured by how we help local businesses build value and protect their richest assets - intellectual capital.

JobsHawaii.com is not just another advertising vehicle - but an opportunity to integrate E-cruiting strategies into Hawaii's way of doing business. We want to assist in the growth of local companies by helping them leverage technology using our internet savvy.

"We have grown to become a means to help stop the brain drain by mixing the power of technology and people into one simple solution."

– Peter Yamaguchi
President/CEO

This is our Ohana.
This is our home and this is our company. It is what we are passionate about. We care about the future of Hawaii and its people. Our History.
JobsHawaii.com has been an Internet recruiting solution provider for Hawaii’s job seekers, educational organizations and employers since March 1999.

Our robust software tool, ecruiterWare™, provides a back-end solution for:

  • Companies to cost effectively advertise while streamlining the processes of acquiring human intellectual capital;
  • Job seekers, both here and abroad, are able to connect directly to employers with easy-to-use career tools; and
  • Career counselors can give immediate feedback and guidance to students ensuring success in their career endeavors.

Our Mission
We are a proactive part of Hawaii’s high-tech community that combines the power of people and technology to support and foster our local intellectual talent while empowering businesses to be technology savvy and succeed in a fast-paced global economy.

We are proud of the fact that we have;

  • Assisted hundreds of individuals, both here and abroad, to secure employment in the place we call home;
  • Helped businesses grow, by increasing their human capital assets by as much as 700%;
  • Saved local companies thousands of dollars by offering cost effective solutions for recruitment advertising; and
  • Provided high-touch connections for job seekers in their quest for knowledge and career success.

Our Future
In the years to follow, we will continue to develop more software tools, increase services and establish partnerships similar to our relationship with Kapi`olani Community College.

More importantly, we will be here… We are not just another dot-com who has survived the shakedown, but a local leader who is helping to create the new rules for the "real" Internet economy, while living it.

The Founders.
Peter and Shawnja Yamaguchi co-founded JobsHawaii.com to help stop Hawaii's Brain Drain. Getting into the Internet business was a logical progression for the Yamaguch's, who started working in the world of interactive multimedia 17 years ago as students at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

After graduation, they had to leave their home where they honed their skills in Silicon Valley providing services for Fortune 500 clients. After returning home a few years later, they implemented training programs for Hawaii's public and private schools in technology integration. This transistion to education created the opportunity to open a multimedia learning center which offered job training programs utilizing state-of-the-art tools. It was during this time that the concept for JobsHawaii.com was born.

"I truly appreciate your initiative and customer service!"

"We were very pleased with the service we received from JobsHawaii.com."
-NCR Corporation, June 2002

"JobsHawaii.com is one of Hawaii's best kept secrets when it comes to cost effectiveness and quality of applicants." The resumes kept rolling in and in urgent need of an assistant, I was on the edge of my seat to make a final decision, however patience did pay off. Our selection came in on the third revised job posting recommended by EmployerCare. So if I did select from the first batch, we would have missed the opportunity to interview the hire, who brought more assets to the organization with experience and requisite. The daily stat watcher is a very assuring and strategic feature of the site. I did also like the favorites folder."
-Kama`aina Kids, June 2002

"Thank you very much for the opportunity. We got a phenomenal response to the ad from your site, and we even picked our employee from it!"
